A Major Industrial Hub

Automotive, Electronics, Machinery and More

Chongqing produced 3.16 m cars in 2016 - more than any European country apart from Germany. The city is also namend the "laptop capital of the world" as companies such as HP, Acer and Toshiba produce 40% of all laptops worldwide in Chongqing. However the broad industrial base reaches well beyond automotive and electronics, and ranges from machinery, chemicals, textile and garments to creative industries such as design and fashion.

The region offers tremendous opportunities as the central government strongly supports the industrial development in western China. Last but not least: Compared to other regions in China the cost of land and labour is extremely competitive in Chongqing.
